About me
Jordan Wilkie is the democracy reporter for WITF, the NPR-affiliate station for Pennsylvania’s capital, Harrisburg, and surrounding counties in the center of the state. Prior to joining WITF, Jordan launched and ran Proof Media NC LLC, an experiment focused on reporting strategies and multi-newsroom collaborations to improve democracy and elections coverage across North Carolina. From 2020 - 2022, Jordan covered elections, criminal justice and open government for Carolina Public Press as a Report for America corps member. He came to North Carolina to earn his master’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2018). Prior to pursuing journalism, Jordan worked for five years as an educator in prisons and juvenile detentions in Oregon.
